KIVU AFTER MORE THAN 10 YEARS IN HANDS OF ARMED GROUPS AND MILITIA

After more than 10 years of abandonment, it is clear that Kinshasa has not yet done enough to help the provinces of Kivu to recover from what is considered by many as impunity created by military adventures that brought Kabila (father) to power. Why should we be concerned about the role of Kinshasa in the current chaos of Kivu? To answer this question, we must identify the various factors that have contributed to the current tragedy in Kivu. Most objective analyses show that beyond well-known reasons, the inability of Kinshasa to protect its citizens in the Kivu provinces is the most critical one.
